The Flying Shoes

One of the cool things about teaching kids is getting to see how their minds work. Not all of them will get from point A to point B in the same manner and I think how they develop the necessary skills to arrive at sound conclusions depends on a host of factors. Most important of which is how information is given and received at home. No amount of  reading teams, tutors, therapists, textbooks, special ed programs, latest computer software, Zen masters or whatever can patch all the holes in a child’s critical thinking skills that have been left behind by unengaged parent’s or from lack of playing outside with other flesh and blood human beings for that matter.
